I always find the staff very helpful. When making appointments over the Internet it would be useful if, as well as appointments with the doctors, appointments could be made with the nurses and phlebotomists, eg for routine injections and blood tests.
The staff at reception are rude and unhelpful and simply do not listen.
Very proactive and patient friendly practice with staff at all levels committed to providing the highest possible level of care.
I have been trying to get an appointment for my adult son, he suffers severe depression. On the numerous times I tried over the phone, very unhelpful reception staff. So after a particular bad time, I thought perhaps if I visit the surgery and appeal to their better nature, and see if after persuading my son to finally attend with me if we would be able to see/speak with a doctor. Apparently this was impossible! I was very upset, but all the very unhelpful receptionist would suggest was that i take him to the hospital and get him sectioned!!!! Obviously this wasnt something I wanted to do. Think we need to change doctors.
My family and I have been patients at this surgery for over 20 years and the service has always been excellent. What a shame this is no longer the case. Receptionists are extremely rude, Doctors have the attitude that they are doing you a favour by seeing you even though they are paid to do just this through public funds. I am not sure what has happened since Dr Elliott retired but the surgery is a shambles and I am not the only patient to think this.
